GOD WANTS TO DO GREAT THINGS THROUGH YOU!
Port Maitland Wesleyan Church is a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.
Port Maitland Wesleyan Church strives to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Port Maitland Wesleyan Church makes an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our community changed.
Port Maitland Wesleyan Church highly values our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.
Port Maitland Wesleyan Church has a passion to serve Port Maitland and the surrounding areas in the Power and Love of Jesus.
We meet Sundays at our church building located at 3276 Highway 1, Port Maitland.
Our service is 60 minutes in length and you can wear whatever you are comfortable wearing. Some wear dresses, jeans, and shorts. Grab a coffee before of after the service.
What We Believe
The sole basis of our belief is the Bible. The Scripture in its entirety is composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, which originated with God, and was given through the instrumentality of many different chosen authors.
We believe that there is one living, true, holy God, eternally existent in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus was miraculously conceived, born of a virgin, and sinless in life. Christ was fully man and fully God walked our earth, lived a life of obedience, suffered at the hands of men, and died on the cross. He fully atoned for the sins of all and was bodily resurrected and enthroned at God’s right hand as our Intercessor.
Salvation is wholly a work of God’s free grace, received by repentance and faith. Each person can be made new in Christ by the Holy Spirit and thereafter continuously grow in the knowledge of God.
